The American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Provider Course is for healthcare workers and students who direct or participate in the resuscitation of patients

COURSE DESCRIPTION & GOALS

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. Through active participation in simulated cases and didactic instruction, students will enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The goal of this course is to improve outcomes for adult patients of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high-performance teams. 

AHA ACLS PREREQUISITES

Pass the Precourse Work & Self-Assessment, Print your certificate of completion or save a digital copy and bring it with you to the course. 

AHA ACLS PROVIDER MANUAL

The AHA encourages participants to obtain and read the ACLS Provider Manual before attending the class. In case you forget to bring your provider manual with you, we have AHA Provider Manuals you may use as a reference during class.

COURSE PREPARATION

Regardless if you are brand new to your profession or if you are a seasoned provider in your field, our goal is to improve your life saving abilities during the time we spend with you. Depending on your area of expertise, you may have strengths or weaknesses in any of the following categories. We welcome everyone into our learning environment and we make it easy to follow along with ACLS references and expert guidance. Feel free to “come as you are” or feel free to maximize your ACLS learning experience by brushing up on the following topics:
